Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 won't charge or turn on

My Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 developed charging problems over time. The charging cable needed to be positioned at a particular angle, and a yellow thermometer warning appeared when using a charger intended for a UV torch.

Now, normal chargers do nothing, and the tablet no longer starts. The screen is undamaged, and the tablet is currently at room temperature.

I have tried multiple cables, and the charging port looks relatively clean, although it seems slightly loose.

What could be causing this? Could it be the USB-C port, battery, or charging circuitry?

probably shouldn't of used uv charger

Could be any of those. Let a professional look into it. Depending on the voltage and current of the UV torch charger, it might be incompatible, that's why you get the warning. Ignoring it will fry the device or worse, it will catch on fire. Always use a proper charger and cable and never cheap out on electronics as these things could burn down your house.

The only option if you want to keep it is to take it to a repairer. This would not seem worth it given a new Tab A8 costs between $180 and $340 depending on model (wi-fi or sim).
